With the emphasis given to export activities and globalization, free zone investments by the Kopuzlar Group of Companies constitute a significant share in the total activities of the group.

In light of the efforts to improve Turkey’s international trade capabilities, the group, which played a leading role in the establishment of the Istanbul Industry and Trade Free Zone in Tuzla, became the second largest shareholder of the founder and operating company DESBAŞ. In previous years the zone reached a trade volume of 7 billion USD, a national record which it maintained for many years.
